Pastoral Care of Montana
“Serving the Faith Community Since 1975"

PCM was founded in 1975, with specific encouragement from pastors and lay leaders from different denominations, to provide faith-based counseling care for ministers, lay leaders, members of a church or others from the community.

The mission of PCM has always been to encourage a renewed and hopeful sense of life and ministry in an ever-challenging world.

Pastoral Counseling • Consultation
Church Member Benefit • Conflict Resolution

We Offer Two Primary Services
PCM is designed for ministry professionals and, or, others in need of faith-based help.

Key issues most often needing help:
• Career satisfaction and fit,
• Impact on family and ministry relationships
• Personal challenges or conflict which block spiritual wellness and growth
• Specific personal issues causing psychological problems

Pastoral Counseling Services
PCM recognizes that the stress and daily demands of ministry or day-to-day life can create a need for counseling. Here a few ways we can help:
1. The first step may require some form of assessment or testing to help give direction
2. The second step may be counseling. This can be a little threatening at first but we tailor the counseling to meet your needs.
3. This may be individual, marital, family, other relationships, or group work.
4. In some situations with your permission consultation can occur with others to reconcile or work through tough situations.

Church Member Benefit Program
PCM offers a terrific benefit opportunity, which can be a real help to expanding your church’s ministry. How many times have you wished you could refer or recommend someone receive faith-based professional help but obstacles prevented them receiving help? What if your church offered three free sessions to anyone the pastor feels could benefit from counseling to get him or her started.
How does this work?
First, help your church council, deacons or board capture the significance of this opportunity.
Second, the church budgets an amount of money designated specifically for this ministry.
(Example: based on 10% of attending members. If you would expect to refer ten people at $50.00 per session, the estimated cost would be $1500.00 annually.)
Third, your church could have a one-year renewable contract with PCM. The pastor would be the referring person; billing would come from PCM monthly. The counseling would be confidential. If the allocated monies for this ministry run out the church would either add to it for the remainder of the year or not use it again until budgeted for the next year.

We believe this can be a rewarding ministry for your church.
